Is anyone behind the wheel?
The lady in the video says: "I think brokerage fees are quite fair!"
But who is this video adressed to anyway? We know commissions are fair!
Why should we brokers have to justify ourselves with our tail between our legs?
I find that this video is certainly not convincing, the testimonials are vague,the actors say just about anything including at passage 1:33 the boy says"brokers representing you when you want to purchase a property do not take any commission".
What is this all about anyways? (Plus renegociate after inspection).
Du proprio sell their own publicity and they can charge for it, but in our case, if we take some fee, we are expected to reimburse if we don't sell! We are more than 19,500 plus OACIQ brokers,we pay out of our pockets to advertise, and we cannot charge and keep basic fees? Why should brokers work for nothing and not charge?
If du Proprio can do it, then we brokers should be able to charge also as our service is worth more. When and if the property is sold, then these fees could be deducted from the commission.(Obviously!).
